Amos Kambere

Amos Kambere is founder and president of Umoja Operation Compassion Society of B.C. he has supported community work in the immigrant community for over 20 years. Amos retired from public service in 2017 and spends time supporting Umoja and overseas projects. He is the author of the book “celebrating Literacy in the Rwenzori Region” Amos has received several community awards from the city of Surrey, United way of B.C., and the surrey leader newspaper.

Margaret Mubanda

Margaret Mubanda

Margaret Mubanda is a retired Teacher and Social Worker. Her passion is to support, educate and advocate on behalf of vulnerable children, youth at risk and families . Margaret has served as a Board Member on several Community Organizations, Civic committees and on Provincial Council. She is a co-founder and a president of Daughters of Hope Society. Margaret is a certified Trauma Facilitator, Community Capacity Building and End of Life Doula. She a recipient of YWCA Community Champion Award 2020 as a Prolific Volunteer and her advocacy for youth aging out of care system.

Mike Iwerima

Mike Iwerima is an accomplished Public Relation and Administrative professional with over 15 years’ expertise developing and executing all aspects of public outreach campaigns to increase media exposure and support strategic marketing initiatives. Mike has a deep understanding of media relations, management of VIP. He has a very strong persuasive communication and relationship management talents to achieve consensus across all levels and organizational boundaries. He has gained a lot of experience in leading and motivating his teams with a track record of building healthy and positive workplace environments that enable staff to reach their potential. Mike also has vast understanding of community relations and capacity building concepts including strategic communications, internal and external communications, protocol, stakeholder involvement, and issues management. He is a mentor, coach and passionate about the progress of young people. He is an advocate of good Leadership.

Timi Owobowale

Timi Owobowale
Timi Owobowale is the President of Sure Word Ministries, an organization dedicated to community development, family well-being, and promotion of godly values. Before relocating to Canada, he co-pastored the HOTW church in Houston, Texas, where he initiated a homeless and substance abuse victim outreach. A co-initiator and founding director of NOVAN, a non-violent advocacy organization in Canada, Timi has traveled extensively to speak at conferences and Christian leadership institutes in Europe, Africa and India.
